He is survived by: his children, Sandra McCurry (Brenton) of Jacksonville, AL, Mark Denson (LaKeitha) of Jacksonville, AL, Gina Denson and Dana Smith (Alonzo) of Snellville, GA.; his stepchildren, Garland Davis (Cheryl) of Huntsville, AL and Wanda Davis of Athens, AL; his siblings, Carolyn Drake of Huntsville, AL, Carswell Denson (Phyllis) of Atlanta, GA and Paul Denson of Talladega, AL; his grandchildren, RJ, TJ, Roderick, Jasmine (Tevin), Chaderick, Jada, Dierre, Ayreanna, Ziayre, Robert III, Robreya, Edward II, Da'Nayzia and Da'Naiya; and his close friend Ross Malone, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Reynolds Funeral Home (103 13th Ave NW, Decatur, AL 35601). The lying in state was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Alpha Seventh-Day Adventist Church (1615 5th St NW, Decatur, AL 35601). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
