He was predeceased by: his parents, Elex Elliott, and Elsie Johnson Elliott, Sr.; his siblings, Ruby Brougham, Leathan Hayes, Louise Elliott, Bernice Swopes, Robert "John" Elliott, Elex Elliott, Jr., Albert "Bud" Elliott and James Edward "Jimmy" Elliott; and his siblings-in-law, Willie Boykin and Wanda Jean Wilkerson Elliott.
He is survived by: his niece Connie Elliott; his wife Irene Wiggins Elliott; his children, Corey Wayne Horton, Harold Ray Swopes (Gina) and Kiesha Elliott; his stepdaughter Tina Davis; his sisters, Sarah Boykin of Decatur, Elizabeth Swopes (William) of Decatur and Linda Watkins (Andrew) of Decatur; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Garvin of Decatur, Ernestine Bell Elliott of Decatur, Stanley Wiggins of Decatur and Johnny Wiggins of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
