He was predeceased by: his father James Edward Gillespie; and his sister Kathy Prater. He is survived by: his wife Imogene Gillespie; his mother Nelda McLemore Gillespie; his children, Craig Gillespie (Sutton) and Leah Little (Joel); and his grandchildren, Laken Gillespie, Gayno Gillespie, Dillard Jones, Colton Prater, Danny Prater, Stacy Carroll and Chris Britt.
