She was predeceased by: her sons, Michael and Scott; her husband Louis H. Mayo; and her parents, Robert Pyle and Elaine Pyle.
She is survived by: her daughters, Catherine Mayo Wright (Thomas) of Charlotte, NC and Elaine Mayo Pool (Jeff) of Decatur, AL; her grandchildren, Laura Wright Carnell (Patrick), Chris Wright (Jessica), Jeffrey Pool (Topacio) and Johnathan Pool (Alex); her great grandchildren, Cassidy Wright, Gabriel Wright, Oliver Wright, Madelyn Wright, Alanah Pool, Jenisen Pool and Liam Pool; and her sister Mary Dawn Pyle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers , the family request donations in Mrs. Mayo's name be made to Hospice of the Valley (240 Johnston St. SE Decatur, AL 35601) or Shoal Creek Baptist Church (1077 shoal Creek Road, Decatur, AL 35603) Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
