With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dora Clark Payne of Decatur, Alabama, who passed away on January 14, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Prentiss H Clark and Lucille Scharnagel Clark; her husband Billy Warren Payne; and her daughter-in-law Kathy Cruse Wallace (Clark). She is survived by: her sister Linda Clark Boyd (Gerald); her children, Clark Wallace, Ben Wallace (Wanda), Lucy Wallace Edwards (Chip), Beth Payne Able (Guy) and Doug Payne (Nancy); her grandchildren, Jean Able Bradley (Stephen), Margaret Able Grubic (David), Guy Able III (Chase), Brannon Wallace (Shelbie), Hannah Wallace, Emily Wallace Brantley (Brian) and William Wallace Edwards; her great grandchildren, Eli, Shepherd Grubic, Liza, Luke and Billy Bradley; and her caregivers, Nettie Lumpkin, Kandyss Bolding, Virginia Slydell, Linda Taylor, Ruth Scruggs, Margaret Benford, Christine Bell and Trixie Duncan.
