Jones (Decatur, Alabama), born in Jefferson, Alabama, who passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint David leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Augustus Jones, Sr. and Zelon Marylou Bailey Jones; and his grandson Owen Rushing Jones. He is survived by: his wife Jean R. Jones; his sons, Marshall Jones, James Jones and Bill Jones; and his siblings, Bob Jones and Carolyn Wheeling. He is also survived by Three Grandchildren Four Great Grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (805 Canal St NE, Decatur, AL 35601).
