He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee V. Fleming and Hettie Scott Fleming; his wife Betty Fleming; and his children-in-law, Tim Garner and Lisa Fleming.
He is survived by: his children, Charlotte Garner, Joey Fleming (Brenna), Darron Fleming and David Fleming (Mysti); his brother L. V. Fleming (Doris); his siblings-in-law, Jurley Fleming, Gary and Freda Pelfrey; and his grandchildren, Nick Garner (Magan), Kevin Garner, Heather Garner, Lucas Fleming, Savannah Shilling (Roger), Katherine Fleming and John Fleming. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel (2105 Beltline Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35601). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Westmeade Baptist Church (2030 Beltline Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35601-5516). A burial will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at the Midway Memorial Gardens (3740 Co Rd 434, Moulton, AL 35650-8013).
