She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Ruckle and Martha T. Ruckle; her husband Robert L. Williams; her brother Johnny Ruckle; and her son Robert H. Williams (Fran).

She is survived by: her siblings, Ken Ruckle (Carol) and Marty Loden (Steve); her sons, D. Charles Williams (Dru Ann) and Kenneth L. (Wendy); her grandchildren, Christopher Williams (Andrea), David Williams, Bobby Williams, Jody Williams, Craig Williams (Jenna), Jenna Lombardi (Andrew), Holland Williams, Grayson Williams and Jacob Williams (AJ); and her great grandchildren, Hank Williams, Aaron Lombari, Clare Lombardi, Layne Lombardi and Caroline Williams.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to Duke Health in memory of Betty to support of the Lung Transplant Director's Fund.
