He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Donald and Naomi Marlene Shead Weir; and his siblings, David Butler and Beverly Burford. He is survived by: his daughters, Brittany Weir and Brandi Bonner (Jon); his stepson Eric Lammon (Karen); and his siblings, Steve Weir, Tony Weir, Chris Weir (Amanda), Kim Wagner (Bill), Karen Weir, Katrina Gazaway (Mike), Kathy Kenney and Pamela Butler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
