He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Hartwell Floyd and Ruby Marie McKnight Floyd; his wife Sandy Floyd; and his siblings, Mabel, Bonnie, Virginia, Mary Alice, Mildred, Bessie, Hartwell, Norman, Dale, Johnny, Neal and Col. Arthur.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael A. Floyd (Amy) and Wesley A. "Wes" Floyd (Kelly); and his sister Estelle Sewell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
