She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas and Carrie Nix Tatum Thorn; her husband Halfmann Holloway Gibbons; and her brothers, Perry Thorn, Harvey Thorn, Charles Thorn, Cleveland Thorn and Lowell Thorn.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Holloway Gibbons and Betty Sue Goree (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Susan Michelle Haynes (Glen) and James Edward Goree, Jr. (Laura Lee); her great grandchildren, Mikayla Haynes, Joshua Haynes, Caroline Goree, Jordyn Haynes, James Goree, III and John Goree; and her caregivers, Virginia Britt, Brenda Darman and Brandy Romero. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Montgomery Cancer Center, Parkinson's Research or Elmore County Humane Society in her memory.
