He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Seth and Dorothy Sansom Gilliand; his siblings, Nina Siglar, Ronald James and Kenneth Lyle; and his significant other Karen Hull Gilliland.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Michelle Fussell (Adam) and April Danielle Jones (Lance); and his grandchildren, Seth Wilson and Olivia Danielle Jones.
