He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vesper Peters and Henrietta Veazey Peters; his wife Gaye Nell Peters; his son-in-law David Goggins; and his siblings, Peggy Blasingame, Harold Peters and Homer Peters.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Goggins of Shelby, AL and Kebo Peters of New Site, AL; his granddaughter Jamie Screws; his great grandchildren, Timberly Lovvorn (Seth) and Lakelyn Fortenberry; his great great grandchild Birdie Ann Lovvorn; and his brother Jack Peters of New Site. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
