We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Doreen Hawkins in Dauphin Island, Alabama, born in Mobile, Alabama. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Leo Rogers and Mary Loleta Rogers; and her nephews, Chris and Chad Rogers. She is survived by: her husband Steve Hawkins; her daughter Jessica McManus IV (Robert); her grandchildren, Robert E. McManus V, William Russell McManus and Stella Camille McManus; her pets, Bentley and Josie; her brothers, Wayne Rogers and Tony Rogers (Pam); her nephews, Scott Ken and Tony Rogers (Crystal); and her niece Renee Rogers. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Her favorite time of year was Christmas and she loved more than anything to give to others and donate to worthy charities, some of her favorites being the SPCA and Animal Rescue Foundation.

“We are truly going to miss this great lady. She was one of the nicest people you could ever meet, always with a kind word for everyone. And always willing to share her latest updates on Steve, Jessica and her grandchildren. We always talked about Bentley and Josie and I remember petting them in her office on the rare occasions she brought them to work. My prayers go out to her entire family. God pinned the wings on a new Angel this week. She will be greatly missed by all.”
