He was predeceased by: his father William Gip "Papa" Winfield; and his siblings, Cecil Evert Winfield, Earl Willis Winfield, Larry Winfield, Huey Lane Winfield and Ruthie Fay Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Winfield of Daphne, AL; his daughter Melissa Williams (David); his grandchildren, Delaney Williams, Morgan Williams, Tyson Thompson and Nicole Thompson Barnes; his great grandchild David Barnes; and his sisters, Betty Jean Cain, Yvonne Jordan and Joy Sue Parker. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
