It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne Leroy Wilson of Daphne, Alabama, who passed away on January 7, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Newell Edgar and Emma Lou Wilson (Norwood); his sibling Glenn David Wilson of Mobile; and his daughter Debra Joy Phillips (Ronald) of Daphne, Alabama.. He is survived by: his children, David Wayne Wilson (Denise) of Foley, Diana Lynn Wilson, Darleen Renee' Cook (Michael) and Delisa Kay Cunningham (Matthew); his grandchildren, Nicholas Wilson (Emily), Connor, Maggie, Ruthie Wilson, Joshua, Jamison Phillips, Jessica Rains (Paul), Jacey Pugh (Ryan), Kaleigh Johnson, Hayden Vinson, Magen Odom (Wade), Jenna Jacobs (Daniel), Trenton Cook, Brent, Brennan and Madison Cunningham; and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Lilli, Calli, Tayler, Reese, Sophia, Julianna, Roman and Arianna. He is also survived by his five children, their spouses, 16 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private ceremony will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 11:00 a. m. with military honors at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, AL.
