She was predeceased by: her daughter Rose Marie; her parents, Joe Thompson and Viola Thompson; her brothers, Joseph Thompson, Patrick Thompson and Sylvester Thompson; and her siblings-in-law, Ola Mae Means, Rev. George Harris, Wesley Means and Leroy "Tic" Frye.
She is survived by: her husband John H. Means; her siblings, Lucinda Freeman and Eugene Thompson (Bessie); her siblings-in-law, Lemuel Means (Cathalene) of Bay Minette, Paris Means of Bay Minette, Anna Thompson of Fort Worth and Julia Harris of Newark, Delaware.; her children, Terry Means (Linda), Jerry Means, Perry Means (Jenise) and Viola Hoover (Benjamin); and her stepson John W. Means (Stella). She is also survived by Five grandchildren, Two great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
