He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Clifton Bailey and Doris Katie Pope Bailey; his sister Janice Bailey Carter (Jim); and his daughter Julia Paige Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Christine Roberts Bailey; his children, Laura Bailey (Nick) and Clifton Gary Bailey; his grandchildren, Nicholas Littleton, Phillip Devereaux Bailey, Bailey Patrick, Kelton Gary Bailey and Clifton Durand Bailey; and his siblings-in-law, Rebecca Roberts Burton, Franklin Williams Roberts (Shirley) and James Francis Burton (Lesley). He is also survived by many cousins and nephews.
