She was predeceased by: her parents, Madeline Taylor Pickett and Frederick Douglas Pickett, Sr.; her siblings, Lynn Pickett Edwards and Frederick Pickett, Jr.; and her parents-in-law, Annie Lucille Clayborn and Willie Humes Clayborn.

She is survived by: her husband Melvin Lee Clayborn; her daughters, April Pickett, Ashton Jones and Taylor Clayborn; her stepdaughters, Ashia Hill, Jennifer Hill and Georgia; her sisters, Gloria Diane Wormsby and Gayle Powell (Walter); her siblings-in-law, Maricruz Pickett, Martha Brazile (Floyd), Rosa Hammonds, Lavonda Slaughter (Robert), James (Darlene) and Gregory; her friends, Regina Thompson (Jared), Bell Holloway and Wilhelmina Dale; and her godchildren, Randy Dale, Jr., Jeremy Thompson and Jolandra Cole McNeil. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
