With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph A. Ferlisi MD (Daphne, Alabama), born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on February 9, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joseph touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Ferlisi and Pauline Ferlisi (Montalto); his sister Lucy Ayers; and his cousin Salvatore Mancuso. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Fitzgerald (James), Mark Ferlisi (Wendy), David Ferlisi (Jean) and Peter Ferlisi (Lynne); his sister Mary Dilion (Ferlisi); and also Kathryn Ferlisi (Shubert). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, many nieces and nephews, his dear, dear friends and his treasured pets.
