He was predeceased by: his parents, Brooks F. Cruitt and Inez Regan Cruitt; and his brother Benford. He is survived by: his significant other JoAnn Freeman; his daughter Cindy Cruitt Kaiser (Herb); his grandson Kevin Cruitt Brown (Meghan); his great grandchild Molly Brown; and his nephew Timothy Cruitt (Millie).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation and St. Jude Children's Hospital. Billy George battled Parkinson's disease and he contributed to St. Jude for many years.
