It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lela Bernastein Smith of Danville, Alabama, who passed away on June 5, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son William Smith; and her parents, Frank Powers and Barbara Powers. She is survived by: her children, Gail Nicholson, Faye Brewer, Gary Smith (Martha), Bobby Smith (Diane), Roger Smith (Donna), Barbara Perry, Stanley Smith (Charlotte) and Renee Sims (Ron). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 14 great great-grandchildren.
