She was predeceased by: her brother Richard Polk. She is survived by: her parents, Waymon Polk and Barbara Polk of Oakville, Alabama; her children, Lashara Griffin of Florence, Daniel (Biddy) of Decatur and Demetrae Griffin of Decatur; her siblings, Jackie Shalon Griffin and Michael (Shera Polk) of Oakville; her stepbrothers, Dezi and Sha King of Decatur; her aunts, Janice Griffin of Moulton and Jessie P. Polk of Oakville; her grandchildren, Harmony, Kayden, Zeke and Grace; and her friend Dale Byrd.
