He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lawton Dell, Sr. and Mildred Smith Dell; his brother Jimmy Dell; and the mother of his child Michele Dell Fiala. He is survived by: his daughter Haze Dell Sands (Bart) of Atlanta, GA; his grandchild Sawyer Sands; his siblings, Rosemary Dunagan (Larry), Kathy Curtis (Jack) of Hoover, AL and Glenn Dell; and his nieces and nephews, Erin Dunagan, Kerri Cox (Phillip), Anne-Kathryn Baugh (Stephen), Clay Dell (Jenny) and Reid Dell (Andi).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel (305 Main St, Headland, AL 36345). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sylvan Grove Methodist Church Cemetery (4495 Co Rd 14, Midland City, AL 36350).
