She was predeceased by: her siblings, John and Willie Ford; her husband Norah Shealey Jr.; her son Reginald Sturdivant; and her grandson Renard Sturdivant.

She is survived by: her daughter Karen Freeman (Melvin) of Dadeville, AL; her grandchildren, James Jr. Barefield (Monica) of Pell City, AL, Justin Freeman (Monique), Antonious Freeman (Shanice) of Opelika, AL, Dwight Sturdivant of Decatur, GA and Precious Crayton of Jackson Gap, AL; her great great grandchildren, Gabriel Boleware, Jasmine Freeman, Jayda Freeman, Austin Freeman, Destiny Turner, Cora Leann Sturdivant and Jaylah Sturdivant; her stepdaughter Rosia Carwell (Tommy) of Alexander City, AL.; her niece Debra Oliver; and her nephews, Al Ford (Marsha) and Tyrone Foreman. She is also survived by grandnieces, grandnephews, one great-great nephew, and other relatives and friends.
