He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Lorenzo Murphy, Sr. and Inell Williams Murphy; and his brother Buford L. Murphy, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Karen M. Murphy; his daughters, Denise Mills (Craig) and Traci Curlee (Mike); his brother Warren Murphy (Rethea); and his grandchildren, Colby Swindall (Caroline), Hannah Ray (Tibb), Emily Ray, Michaela Southerland (Chris), Amber Poitevint (Dewayne), Ashley Price (Lane), Kayla Gindle and Maci Curlee. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
