It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Davis Thorpe (Dadeville, Alabama), born in Opelika, Alabama, who passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Larrymore Brown and Sallie Downy Babb; her former husband Paul N. Thorpe, Jr.; her siblings, Mary Joyce Brown Kelly, Connie Brown Beckley and Wilbur Larrymore Brown, Jr.; and her nephew David Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Lonnie Pierce Davis, Jr. of Opelika; her children, Edith Leigh Salyzyn (Mark) of Orlando, FL, John Larrymore Davis (Tiffany) of Murfreesboro, TN and Andrew Pierce Davis (Elizabeth) of Summertown, TN; her sisters-in-law, Annette Brown (Wilbur) of Destin, FL and Judy Davis Kidd (Pierce) of Birmingham, AL; her grandchildren, Robert Greer, Andrew Davis Jr., Parker Davis, Chandler Davis, Abigail Davis, Jordan Davis, Leah Davis, Addison Davis, Aidan Davis and Tristan Davis; and her great grandchild Kaleb Greer.
