He was predeceased by: his parents, H. J. "Sam" Thompson and Annie Sanford Thompson; and his sisters, Launa Pavlista and Kathleen Derrer. He is survived by: his wife Joanne White Thompson; and his children, Emalyn Lowe of Dadeville, Jacky Thompson (Debbie) of Dadeville, Michelle Prater (Jimmy) of Phenix City, Cindy Weeks (Pete) of Dothan and Brad Thompson (Charlotte) of Prattville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
