It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Lee Whittier Jr. (Cullman, Alabama), born in Leesburg, Florida, who passed away on August 11, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Lee Whittier, Sr. and Cornelia Pearl Whittier (Conner); his wife Terrie Carol Whittier (Jones); his granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Whitesell; his great grandchildren, Dr. Robert "Bob" P. C., Marty, Kevin Whittier and Maura Baughman (Whittier); his brother-in-law David Berggren; and his nieces and nephews, Leontine, Reverend Dabney and Diana Carr, MD.
He is survived by: his son Lee Whittier of Huntsville, AL; his grandchildren, Tiffany (Rob), Jonathon, Madeline, Lillian and David Whitesell of Cullman, AL; his daughter Tamara Houle (John) of Brooklyn, NY; and his siblings, Peggy Berggren of Vero Beach, FL and Peter Whittier (Paula) of Apopka, FL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children.
