He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hudgins and Velma Hudgins; his grandson Stephen Freeman; and his son-in-law Warren Fanning. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Kenneth Ergle (Christy) and Sharon Fanning; his siblings, Billy Hudgins, Brenda Griffin, Myra Cone and Kathy Rodgers; his grandchildren, Magen Peace (Larry Cook), Kelsie Smallwood (Dylan), Haley Freeman Rutherford (Randall), Cody Ergle and Alyssa Ergle; and his great grandchildren, Ara, Adele, Audrey, Brooklyn and Brentley.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel (461 US-278, Cullman, AL 35055). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
