She was predeceased by: her parents, James Taylor and Dorothy Burns Taylor; her husband Obie Elrod; her sisters, Janie Powers and Joann Sachs; and her sister-in-law Cheryl Taylor.

She is survived by: her daughters, Alisa Beam (Ryan Huffstutler) and Theresa Godsey (Clint); her siblings, Pat Beddingfield (Jimmy) and Billy Taylor; her grandchildren, Katrina Garner, Donovan Beam and Tabitha Griffin (Nick); and her great grandchildren, Lillian Folds, Hunner Folds and Brooklyn Griffin.
