He is survived by: his children, Valerie Vance (Don), Douglas Nix (Trish), Christopher A. Nix (Dolores) and Mark A. Nix (Vickie); and his sister Alpharetta Nix Tucker (Perry). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
