He was predeceased by: his parents, John Newborn McNelley, Jr. and Jessie Lawson McNelley; and his siblings, Linda M. Lloyd (Edgar Lloyd Jr.) and Darrell Wayne McNelley (Camilla McNelley). He is survived by: his wife Rona McNelley; his daughter Kelly Allison McNelley; his stepchildren, Jimmy Parton, Donald Parton and Jennifer Goins; his grandchildren, Nathaniel J. McNelley and Conswayla Shaylynn McNelley; and his sisters, Anita Atchley (Russell) and Deva Day (Garland).
