He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Cannon Calvert and Lyda Blalock Calvert; and his siblings, Nancy Lee Calvert and James Ellis Calvert. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, John Fredrick Calvert, Jr. and Susan "Buffy" Calvert York (Timothy Wayne York); his sister Barbara Calvert Phillips; and his grandchildren, Judson King Stewart, Jr., John "Jack" Fredrick Calvert, III, Alice McLean Stewart, Anne Romberg York and Virginia Rains York.
