She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Phillips Hardy, Candy Phillips Thomas and Catherine Phillips Carter; her son-in-law David Carter; and her stepsons, Toby Bates and Marty Bates. She is also survived by many nieces and, nephews; and grand nieces and nephews.
After retiring, she only stayed home a couple of years, and then worked as, her daughter Catherine's legal secretary until Covid (or as she called it, "the Covic") hit.
