He was predeceased by: his wife Melynda Dozier Cowan; and his parents, James Cowan and Edna Cowan. He is survived by: his children, Jay Cowan (Kaitlyn) of Foley and Olivia Davis (Robert) of Cullman; and his friends, Kevin McKenzie, Jason Davidson and Marshall Abston.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Patrician Academy for a new sound system in memory of "The Voice of the Saints," Jimmy Cowan.
