He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Johnson and Mabel Johnson; and his siblings, Opal Johnson, Audrey McSwain, Sheila Whatley and Bodie Johnson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Tommy Johnson, Joe Johnson, Danny Johnson and Hassie McCroy; and his nieces and nephews, Annette Graveman (Ricky), Dolly Johnson (Tracy), Phillip Johnson (Angie), Mossy Smith, Candy Smith (David Sizemore), Kathy Daniel (Richard), Larry McCroy (Dawn), Darrel McCroy, Tim McCroy, Rodney McCroy, Kenneth McSwain (Pat), Frances Tucker (John), Tammy Hesson, Rusty Whatley (Ashley), Brett Whatley (Holly) and Tiffany Whatley Phillips (Tae). He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel (461 US-278, Cullman, AL 35055). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
