She is survived by: her sisters, Louise Carrillo and Aver Brown; her daughter Gwendolyn Anderson-Burns of Nashville; and her grandchildren, S. Hunter Burns of Kentucky, Hillary E. Burns of Minneapolis, Emily-Catherine "E. C." Burns of New York City and S. Mallory Burns of Gainesville. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
