He was predeceased by: his former wife Shirley Ann Grant Pentecost; his wife Barbara Ann South Pentecost; his parents, William Ernest and Nannie Leona Pentecost; and his son-in-law Steve Hollis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Phyllis Pentecost (Sharon), Carol Hollis, Janice Lopez (Louie) and Patsy Rushing (Terry); his grandchildren, Brian Lopez, Stephanie Davenport (Jeremy), Lori DeJarnett (Sam) and Lisa Rushing; his great grandchildren, Marcus, S. J. DeJarnett and Jarrett Davenport; his brother Pete Pentecost; and his stepchildren, Tommy South (Lynda), Linda Duncan (George), Jan McCombs (Jack) and David South (Kim). He is also survived by 6 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren.
