It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Marie Davenport (Cullman, Alabama), born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on January 18, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Marie Teresa Metzger Forstmann; her siblings, Bernard L. Forstmann, Charles L. Forstmann, Joseph E. Forstmann, Rosalie F. Ayers, Agnes F. Sands, Madeline F. Surles and Estelle Forstmann; her daughter Barbara D. Ellis (John W. III); her grandson Richard David Collier; and her great grandchild Matthew Ryan Ray.

She is survived by: her husband James Conard Davenport; her daughter Carol Collier Jr. (Lonnie); her grandchildren, Julie Ray (Michael), Bill Ellis (Angela) and Lonnie W. Collier III; and her great grandchildren, Emma Marie Ray, Jordan W. Ray and Will C. Ellis.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Gideons International, Seventh Street Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
