He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Collins and Gertrude Collins; the mother of his children Peggy Collins; his grandson James Collins Flood (Jay); and his brothers, Bud Collins and Robert Collins.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Collins; his children, Shelia Flood (Jim) and Greg Collins (Yolanda); and his stepchildren, Carla Miller and Patrick McQuaig (Amanda).
