He is survived by: his daughters, Alice Newby (Gary) and Kimberly Thurmond (Darren); his grandchildren, Chris Waldrip (Micaela), Lauren Symms (Chris) and Abigail Waldrip; his great grandchildren, Harrison and Hallie; his siblings, Richard Sutherlin (Harriet) and Jane Kay Scoggins; and his nieces and nephews, Julie Lawsen (Tod), Shelly Sutherlin, Caitlin Scoggins, Casey Scoggins, Bill Sutherlin (Karen), Chris Sutherlin (Meri) and Mary Beth Trochek (Alex).
