He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clifton and Bessie Alene Teague Dossey; and his siblings, Beverly Johnson and Jacky Dossey. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Butler Dossey; his children, Kelly Dossey Krigbaum, Jeff Dossey and Scott Dossey (Lindsey); his brother-in-law David Butler (Donna); his grandchildren, Kate Krigbaum, Allie Krigbaum, Claire Dossey and Jackson Dossey; and his caregivers, Cheryl Barbee and Dana Graves.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Johns Church, Big Oak Ranch of St. Jude's Hospital.
