He was predeceased by: his wife Reba White Cole; his parents, Taft Cole and Addie Lee Cole; and his siblings, Steve Cole (Clara) and Etta Cole Paul (Eddie).

He is survived by: his siblings, Johnnie Cole (Barbara) and Linda Cole LaQuaglia (Peter).
