She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Lucky and Florence Lucky; and her sister Martha (John). She is survived by: her husband John Nelson, Jr.; her siblings, Ruth and Jimmy; her children, Larry (Linda) of Rosamond, Gary (Jennifer) of Fish River, AL and Jerry (Roxanne) of Birmingham; her grandchildren, Lora Forbes (John), Leslie Godwin (Joseph), Derek Nelson, Kevin Nelson (Savannah), Blake Nelson (Brittany), Kali Nelson and Gavin Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Alexandria Forbes, Sydney Forbes, McKenzie Forbes, Jacob Forbes, Catrina Godwin, Danyelle Godwin, Joseph Godwin and John Simmons Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. John's Evangelical Protestant Church, 512 2nd Ave. SE, Cullman, Alabama 35055, where Catherine and John were members for many years.
