Brenda Horsley Scott Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 14, 2025, at the age of 80, Brenda Horsley Scott of Cullman, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Oscar David Horsley and Lela Odessa Entrekin; her granddaughter Micah Scott; and her siblings, J. F. Horsley, Larry Horsley and Wanda Horsley (Linda Horsley).
She is survived by: her husband Dan J. Scott; her sons, Eric Scott (Pamela) and Jason Scott (Amanda); her sister Mary Thomas; her sister-in-law Peggy Horsley; her cousins, Doug Stephens, Stephanie Hamberger and Rusty Stephens; and her grandchildren, Jacey Scott, Derek Bradford, Kenny Bradford, Jayden Scott and Emma Scott.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The lying in state was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant View Baptist Church (12476 US-278, Holly Pond, AL 35083). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at the Holly Pond Cemetery (Co Rd 1669, Holly Pond, AL).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Holly Pond Cemetery Fund, an organization close to Brenda's heart.
