She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Gilbert Jester and Obera Evon Chandler Jester; her husband Jimmy R. Laney; her brother Wayne Jester; her grandson Denzel Mattox; and her brother-in-law Ancil Wallace.
She is survived by: her children, Dumont Laney, Ronald Laney (Linda), Janola Mitchell (John), Cloressia Mattox and Allyson Brown (Chris); her siblings, Wade Jester (Gina), Betty Wallace and Freda Duskin (Terry); and her grandchildren, Justin Mitchell (Rachel), Brett Mitchell (Katie), Ethan Mitchell (Kami), Nathan Haynes (Mary), Kaitlyn Owens (Micah), Conner Sapp and Adeline Brown. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
