He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burks and Nancy Sharpton Burks; his brother Mike Burks; and his sister-in-law Bev Burks. He is survived by: his siblings, Lisa Reeder, Anita Ballew (Mark), Dorothy Stroud (Mike) and Bill Burks; and his close friends, Judy Aaron, Paw Paw, Cameron and Preslee Baty. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
