He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alex and Mary Earline Carwile; his wife Linda Coley Carwile; his sister Betty Wallace; his son-in-law Steve Palmer; and his brother-in-law Steve Thorn.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Carwile, Debbie Roszell and Cindy Palmer; his grandchildren, Shelley Miller (Patrick), Chris Bates (Ashley), Jared Palmer (Miranda), Katie Carwile, Lindsey Carwile and Coley Carwile; his great grandchildren, Ashlyn Miller Rone (Dalton), Wesley Miller, Jackson Palmer, Jameson Palmer, Boden Bates, Tanner Bates, Warren Bates and Spencer Atwood; his siblings, Bobby Carwile, Ray Carwile, Kenny Carwile, Glenn Carwile, Dorothy Phillips and Ann Thorn; his brothers-in-law, Clifton Coley and Bill Coley; and his close friend Dennis Borwick (Kim). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
