It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lagean Bragg Byrd of Cuba, Alabama, born in Ward, Alabama, who passed away on November 17, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Bragg and Lois Truelove Bragg; and her sister June Beavers. She is survived by: her husband Ralph Byrd; her children, Sherry Byrd and Steve Byrd (Joy); her sister Kay Caldwell; her grandchild Shannon Hardin (Thomas); and her great grandchildren, Addy Claire Thomas, Tucker Hardin and Cloey Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home.
